                  100 Ton U.S.C.G. Masters License since 1982.  S.T.C.W. License since January, 2002. Certified advanced open water diver since 1980 .  Member of  American Professional  Captains Assoc. random drug screening program. Certified observer for the International Game Fish Assoc, for tag & release marlin tournaments.

 

            

EMPLOYMENT  EXPERENCE

 

Present                   Bareboat captain with Moorings Charter in Tortola, running  Roberson &

                               Caine sailing and power catamarans up to 62 ft. and Benateu sloops to 52ft.

2005                       Skippered delivery from B.V.I. To Fla. Of 48ft cat. Delivered 65ft wing mast 

                               catamaran from Stx to Hawaii thru the Panama canal.

2004                       Captain for Moorings, Nautic Blue, and Barecat charter companies.      

                               Captained 34ft sloop to Ga. and 41ft sloop to Marathon from B.V.I.     

2003                       Captain for Bilinda Charters, a 36ft sloop in St. Croix.  I  was responsible

                               for reservations, providing lunches & snorkeling lessons for                    

                               up to 6 guests on day sails & sunset sails. I  handled all advertising &                                                                                                                                                      

                               banking.  I also did 2 charters for Nautic Blue aboard a 46ft power

                               cat in August & captained a 41ft cat for the HIHO windsurfing regatta in

                               June. I  delivered a 50ft sloop from St.Lucia to B.V.I. In Nov.

2002                        I was relief captain for 42ft day sailing sloop ’Shabeen’ in St. Croix.  I                      

                               captained the delivery of a 44ft sloop from Tampa to B.V.I.  for Woods

                               Marine Services in February.  I also crewed aboard a 38ft trawler to Fla. ,

                               a 56ft wing mast, Goldcoast trimaran from Guadalupe to St. John ,  & a 

                               70ft Santa Cruz from B.V.I. To Antigua.                                                                                                                      

2001                       Captained 45ft.ketch to St. Martin for Woods Marine Services in Dec.                       

                               Delivered 47ft catamaran from Palm Beach, Fla. To B.V.I.  In Nov.                                                                                                                                                                    

                               Temporary deckhand aboard 114ft ketch from Marblehead, Mass. to

                               Newport, R.I. Sailed aboard 55ft Peter Wormword cat, Avalon.

                               1st mate aboard delivery of 41ft. Sloop from St. Croix to Newport, R.I.     

                              2000    Captained delivery of 42ft sloop from Provo to St. Croix direct.                      

2000                         First mate aboard charter fishing boat, ‘Louie G‘. in St. Croix.  Also captained  

                              catamaran for HIHO windsurfing regatta &  private 42ft catamaran to 

                              St.Lucia from B.V.I.

1997-1999            1st mate board private 115ft motor yacht, running between Fla. & Ven.

                              Handled all book keeping & finances of 500k refit.                                                                          

1985-1997            Owned & operated 60ft schooner w/husband.  I did my own all women

                              sailing charters aboard a 42ft ketch.  We also maintained &

                              delivered for 8 seasons the ketch to & from Martha’s Vineyard, Mass. for the                                                 

                              Carambola hotel in St. Croix .  We ran a tugboat & barge for                                    

                              Neighborhood Shipping of St. Croix, that we delivered to Louisiana for a

                              refit. I handled all finances, customs, immigration & cargo clearances.

1983-1984             Returned to Ky. for family matters, during which I did 2 trawler deliveries

                              to St. Thomas For La Vida Charters from Fla..              

1982                      Got U.S.C.G. 50 ton license.   Worked as bareboat captain in St.Thomas.     

1981                      Crewed for several day sail boats & freelanced as cook for term charters.                                         

1980                       worked aboard 70ft Trumpy moter yacht in B.V.I.   

1979                       Moved to St. Croix, managed office of Annapolis Sailing School.
